Radio NFM is an independent, non-profit, development-oriented community radio station. The station was established to facilitate community development through informative, educational and entertaining radio programmes.
The members of Radio NFM gained valuable experience in establishing and managing a community radio station by operating under a temporary licence for a period of six years. The preparation and research phases date back to 1996, when the concept of community radio was introduced to the people of Namaqualand by the then Independent Broadcasting Authority (IBA).
To develop an empowered and united community through quality communication services by 2025.
