MEC MANOPOLE TO HOST DISTRICT WEBINARS ON WOMEN’S TRANSFORMATION IN THE AGRICULTURE, ENVIRONMENT AND CONSERVATION SECTORS.
The MEC for Agriculture, Environmental Affairs, Rural Development and Land Reform, Mase Manopole, will embark on a series of District Webinars (virtual seminars) with Women in the Agriculture, Environment & Conservation sector, under the theme: “Repositioning Women in Agriculture, Rural Development, Nature and Conservation Sector to be trailblazers, ”.
The District Webinars are in line with Government’s mission to support an overall transformation agenda, which is committed to policy directives, legislative mandate and empowering initiatives aimed at developing and deliberately empowering women and youth.
The MEC will in the next coming weeks, host weekly webinars for each of the five districts in the Northern Cape, with a culmination of a Provincial Webinar in August 2021, during Women’s month.
These webinars seek to gauge the extent to which women in these sectors feel transformed, since the dawn of democracy, looking at areas that need intervention and improvements for the total transformation of the sector as it relates to women participation.
This week, the focus will be in Namakwa and Pixley ka Seme Districts.
MEC Manopole wishes to invite all the women in the sector from Namakwa and Pixley ka Seme Districts, to participate in their repective webinars which will be held as follows:
