The South African Human Rights Commission in the Northern Cape says it has taken note of concerns raised by residents in the Namakwa region.

This follows a visit by the Commission to areas within the Nama Khoi Local Municipality, including Vioolsdrif, Goodhouse and Rooiwal.

The visit formed part of a Mobile Legal Clinic initiative aimed at educating communities about their rights.

According to the Commission’s Adv. Abraham Motjabi, complaints raised by residents include a lack of sufficient health and education resources, as well as poor delivery of community services.
