The Northern Cape golden games yesterday initiated in the Frances Baard district. The event was hosted by the department of social development in collaboration with other stakeholders including South African Social Service Agency and the National Development Agency. The department says the Golden Games are an event affording older people the platform to showcase their athletic and sporting abilities and grants them the opportunity to compete against teams from other provinces.
