Casual Day has recorded a major financial turnaround, moving from a R6.7 million crisis during the COVID-19 pandemic to a projected record income of R23.9 million in 2025.

Therina Wentzel, NCPD National Director says in 2020, income dropped by 77 percent, leaving the organisation R7.3 million in deficit, but strong recovery efforts have resulted in an expected profit of R10.4 million this year.

Wentzel says since 2016, Casual Day has distributed R58 million to support communities and change lives across South Africa.

The funding includes support for non-profit organisations, schools, persons with disabilities, provincial disability structures, and inclusivity initiatives within the SAPD and Department of Defence.

Wentzel says flagship projects such as the Nappy Run, Vava Vava iYouth, and Hearing Loss Matters have also benefited significantly.

Director says Casual Day says smart cost management, strong sticker sales, and a clear growth strategy are driving its progress toward a R57 million income target by 2030.
