The Northern Cape Department of Education is urging National Senior Certificate and Senior Certificate candidates who need a second opportunity to register for the Second Chance Matric Programme.
The department says registration must be done in person at the nearest District or Provincial Education office, where forms are available, and closes this Friday, February 6.
For Senior Certificate candidates aged 21 or older, proof of Grade 9 or equivalent, along with ID, is required to qualify for the May/June exams only.
Post-2008 NSC part-time candidates can register to rewrite in May/June or October/November, needing their previous results statement and ID.
Classes are offered free at various centres across the province, including Frances Baard, Kimberley at Homevale High School with contact Ms R. Amien at 081 574 9061, and Upington at Pabalello High School with Ms L. Kgomoeadira at 076 979 2720.
