The Richtersveld Municipality has issued a public notice warning residents of planned power outages due to maintenance by Eskom.

The outages will affect areas including Kuboes and Sanddrift on Wednesday, 25 March 2026, from 08:00 to 18:00.

Electricity supply will also be interrupted in Port Nolloth and McDougalls Bay on Monday, 30 March 2026, during the same hours.

Residents are urged to treat all electrical lines and equipment as live throughout the outage period to avoid accidents.

The municipality has apologised for any inconvenience caused, saying the maintenance is necessary to ensure reliable electricity supply.
