The Nama-Khoi Local Municipality has urged residents to attend the upcoming Draft Budget and IDP 2026/27 meetings following a poor turnout at sessions held so far.
Officials, together with Ward Committee members, have reportedly outnumbered community members at several of these meetings.
Concordia Councillor Charlotte Visser says the low attendance reflects the community’s mindset regarding local development priorities.
She has stressed that public participation is crucial, as these meetings directly impact future development in the area.
