Community radio stations across the Northern Cape are mourning the sudden death of Radio Kaboësna 88 FM broadcaster Jerry Jay-R Rossouw, who passed away on Tuesday morning, July 21.

This comes less than a week after Radio Kaboësna made headlines after its station building was destroyed in a fire believed to have been caused by an electrical fault.

Rossouw was regarded as a dedicated broadcaster, a pillar of the station, and the Calvinia community, where his warm voice and passion for radio touched the lives of many.

Radio NFM extends its condolences to Rossouw’s family, friends, colleagues and the entire Radio Kaboësna 88 FM community at this difficult time.
