Members of the public have until next month to submit comments on the Draft Revised White Paper on Citizenship, Immigration, and Refugee Protection.

The Department of Home Affairs has extended the submission deadline from the end of the month to February 15.

The revised white paper aims to curb fraud and abuse, improve national security, boost service delivery, and promote economic development.

The department says the extended deadline seeks to maximise public participation and inclusivity following the festive season.

It will host provincial public engagement sessions and a national public consultation over the next two weeks to enhance public participation.
