The Department of Social Development in the Namakwa District has welcomed a new digitised monitoring and evaluation system. 

The department rolled out the electronic M&E system over the past week as part of efforts to modernise its reporting processes. 

Regional head Sammy Cloete says the move will take the department away from paper reporting and improve accountability across all non-profit organisations. 

He adds that the system covers different types of monitoring and evaluation methods and will strengthen how information is captured and assessed. 

Cloete says the department is eager to implement the system fully and address challenges while improving service delivery going forward.
