Alexanderbaai High School has expressed immense pride over the past week in learner Raymarco van Wyk following his selection to the Namakwa athletics team.

Van Wyk will represent the Namakwa region in the 100-metre and 200-metre sprint events in Kimberley on the 7th of March 2026.

The school says his achievement is the result of consistent hard work, discipline and determination on the track.

Management added that his dedication embodies the school’s motto, “Delf en Ontgin,” which encourages learners to discover and develop their full potential.

The Alexanderbaai community has rallied behind the young athlete and wished him success as he prepares to compete at the regional event.
