The Namakwa District Department of Health continues to emphasise the importance of regular health check-ups, particularly for tuberculosis and related illnesses. 

TB Coordinator Fredeline Smith says the ongoing district-wide screening programme is aimed at detecting cases early and ensuring timely treatment.

She urges communities to participate actively in the screenings to protect their health and prevent the spread of TB. 

According to Smith, early detection not only saves lives but also improves overall health outcomes.
