As South Africans observe Human Rights Day on 21 March, the Namakwa Youth Crime Prevention Desk urges young people to reflect on the significance of the day.

The desk reminds youth that the freedoms enjoyed today were secured through the courage and sacrifices of those who fought against oppression.
