The Namakwa Civil Movement (NCM) says it plans to rebuild its political governance from town to town across the Kamiesberg Municipality ahead of the 2026 Local Government Elections.

The group says it is bringing together experienced leaders and community members with a proven record of service to strengthen its party.

The group has announced its Kamiesberg candidates for the November 4, 2026 Local Government Elections, including Clinty Adams in Ward 6, Reagam Beukes in Ward 4, Charlton Chantil Fortuin in Ward 5, Francis Fielding in Ward 2, Bennie Fortuin in Ward 3 and Gerchwill Steenkamp in Ward 1.

According to the group, it aims to bring together the right people, skills and leadership to drive development and economic growth in Kamiesberg.

The group says it wants to build a Kamiesberg that works, grows and thrives, while promising what it describes as significant changes to the municipality.
