Learners at Okiep High School exercised their democratic right by voting for leaders who will serve with pride, respect, and responsibility on Friday, January 23.

The school says the process empowered learners to use their voices wisely, shaping leadership for the future.

The 2026 Learner Representative Council (LRC) elections were conducted in a positive spirit, reflecting strong participation across all grades.

The elected representatives are: Grade 8A Geraldine Carroll and Jayden Whitlow, Grade 8B Lynn Blom and Keanu Vollmer, Grade 9A Taylin Fitzpatrick and Monray Sheep, Grade 10A Nikita Dick and Charlton Cloete, Grade 10B Keilene Mentor and Liyema Wilson, Grade 11A Liam Nyirongo and Leschen Engelbrecht, Grade 11B Randy van Wyk and Ralton Mali, Grade 12A Courtney Simon and Dalton Murphy, and Grade 12B Roland Cloete and Shante Macdonald.

School management conveyed best wishes to all successful candidates on earning the trust of their peers.

The new LRC is expected to lead with commitment and unity as they represent learner voices in 2026.
