National Assembly Speaker Thoko Didiza thanked Public Works Minister Dean Macpherson for handing over a refurbished dome structure for use during parliamentary sittings while the burnt building is being rebuilt.

Parliament’s building caught fire in January 2022, causing severe damage to the parliamentary precinct and disrupting the normal functioning of Parliament.

Parliament has since had to secure alternative venues to carry on its sittings and oversight responsibilities. (Clip)
