The Khâi‑Ma Local Municipality says progress is being made on water infrastructure projects in Ward 1 and Pella.
Fencing and cleaning work around the water treatment plant and reservoirs at Melkbosrand, Onseepkans is nearing completion to protect vital infrastructure and keep the area safe and clean.
Reporting over the past week, the municipality says the project carried out under the leadership of Ward 1 Councillor Böck - has created three temporary employment opportunities for local residents.
Meanwhile, work is currently underway to connect water from the pressure control chamber to the reservoir in Pella to strengthen the reliability of the town’s water supply.
Municipal officials have reaffirmed their commitment to protecting essential services while creating local opportunities.
