Newly elected Namakwa District youth leader Karadine Klaasten has called on schools to unite in creating a positive environment for learners.
Klaasten, from Boesmanland High School, says strong leadership can help learners improve academically and make better life choices instead of following negative trends.
She encouraged young people to focus on building their futures and contributing to their communities.
Klaasten was speaking at the IEC Namakwa leadership elections held on Saturday, March 14, at the Namakwaland High School hall in Springbok.
Newly appointed District Executive Mayor Alinda Beukes attended the event and showed support for the programme.
