The National Student Financial Aid Scheme, NSFAS, has deployed teams and launched regional support sessions across colleges to resolve data challenges affecting student allowances. 

Ishmael Mnisi, scheme spokesperson says earlier this month, NSFAS disbursed R621 million to TVET college students, reinforcing its commitment to uninterrupted learning.

However, around 12,000 students were flagged as ineligible due to data inconsistencies, with verification processes currently underway.
