The Namakwa Civic Movement has announced its candidates ahead of the November 4 local government elections on Friday, August 14. 

The party says Anneke Julie was nominated by the community to run as Ward 7 councillor candidate, while Dr Gustav Bock has been selected to contest for a second term as Nama Khoi mayor. 

NCM has also endorsed Richard “Richie” Cloete as its candidate for Executive Mayor of the Namakwa District Municipality, citing his years of community involvement. 

NCM’s announcements come as its coalition partner, the Democratic Alliance, last month announced Rodney Kritzinger as its Nama Khoi mayoral candidate for a second term.

NCM's Gustav Bock says the candidates have demonstrated a commitment to service delivery and effective local governance.
