Middelpos police has conducted a substance abuse awareness campaign on Thursday, August 27, at Middelpos Primary School.

Police says the program intended to educate learners about the dangers and consequences of illegal substances.

The school’s Head of Education Department, Anna Van Wyk says the campaign reinforced the message on the harmful effects of substance abuse.

Cpt. Ivan Magerman, regional police spokesperson says pupils participated and said they now have a clearer understanding of the risks associated with substance use.
