As schools in the Northern Cape reopened this past week and celebrations continue for our matriculants, with the Namakwa District achieving an impressive 90.5% pass rate in the recent exams, it's equally important to shine a spotlight on our foundation phase excellence. 

The Department of Education in the region has highlighted the top five performing primary schools in the Namaqua District for their outstanding results.

Leading the list is Ferdinand Brecher Primary School with 96%, followed closely by Dr Izak van Niekerk Primary School at 95%, Hantam Primary School at 90%, Francois Visser Primary School at 89.3%, and tied in fifth place are Concordia Primary School and Okiep Primary School both at 88%. 

The department says these remarkable achievements from primary schools lay a strong foundation for future success, wishing the primaries a successful academic year to the learners, teachers, and communities involved!
