Aggeneys Garage in Namakwa District has announced the implementation of temporary fuel supply measures from 19 March 2026, due to ongoing logistical delays affecting fuel imports into South Africa.

According to the garage, the disruptions are linked to the conflict in the Middle East, which has forced suppliers to limit fuel allocations in an effort to manage national stock levels.

The garage says customers will be restricted to 25 litres of petrol or diesel per visit, while the filling of diesel bowsers and bulk containers will not be permitted.

The garage says reduced fuel volumes are expected to continue for at least the next four weeks, although fuel is currently still being sold at existing prices despite possible market fluctuations.

Garage's Madelein Visser says that it remains in close contact with suppliers and stakeholders, and will keep customers informed as the situation evolves.
