SA Van Wyk High School conveyed gratitude after a successful educational trip in partnership with the University of the Western Cape over the past weekend.

A Life Orientation teacher, Mr Rushphiano Cloete, took a group of learners he also mentors on a weekend visit to Cape Town to expose them to student life and encourage further studies.

On Friday, the learners received detailed career guidance and attended a Varsity Cup rugby match at the university’s stadium.

The trip also included activities such as hiking up Lion’s Head, as well as visits to Camps Bay and Century City for relaxation and exploration.

The school says the experience was both educational and enjoyable, helping learners to expand their thinking and dream bigger.
