The Hantam Municipality in Loeriesfontein hosted a career exhibition designed to provide pupils and young community members with guidance on future career paths.

At the event last week, Sonja Squires presented certificates of recognition to Mayor Koos Alexander and Municipal Manager Jan Fortuin, acknowledging their active involvement and invaluable contributions to the exhibition. 

The municipality says this showed its commitment to fostering youth development and ensuring learners are well-informed about educational and career opportunities.

Attendees had the chance to engage with various industry representatives, gather information about tertiary education, and explore potential career options. 

The municipality says that initiatives like this are part of ongoing efforts to empower local youth, strengthen community engagement, and support long-term socio-economic growth in the region.
