The Nama Khoi Local Municipality has issued a public notice informing residents of Concordia about planned, isolated power interruptions scheduled for Thursday, 16 April 2026.
According to the municipality, the outages are necessary to allow for preparatory infrastructure work, including the drilling of holes for the installation of high-voltage cables.
The municipality says the work forms part of a broader project to install an auto-recloser system, which is expected to improve network stability, reduce unexpected outages, and limit the impact of faults to specific areas.
The municipality says that these controlled interruptions are important to ensure a safer and more reliable electricity supply in the long term.
The municipality has apologised for any inconvenience and encouraged residents to use available platforms to report issues or stay updated.
