Springbok - The Re-elected Provincial leader, Harold MacGluwa said the African Nation Congress has lost its value and failed the people. As Democratic Alliance, they promise Northern Cape community members what proper service delivery is and well-oiled administration. This was highlighted at the Democratic Alliance provincial congress 2023 in Namaqualand on Saturday, 10 June 2023. 85% of 288 eligible delegates were in attendance at the congress and voted for new provincial leadership. The event occurred where the party forms part of coalition government with Namakwa Civic Movement (NCM). The delegates positively reacted to the newly elected provincial leadership which will lead 2024 general elections and promises to overpower self-sabotaging governing party by above 50% votes. Newly elected Democratic Alliance leaders in the Northern Cape: Provincial leader – Harold McGluwa Provincial chairperson – Isak Frits Deputy provincial chairperson – Priscilla Isaacs First deputy chairperson – Henriette Du Plessis 2nd Provincial chairperson – Elizabeth Niemann Provincial finance chairperson – Delmaine Christians Provincial DAWN chairperson – Fawzia Rhoda McGluwa firmly expressed that ANC legacy has fallen to pig mud as they failed to deliver services to community members and the governing party has made potholes, energy pandemic to contaminated water the reality of the people. And they plan to eradicate that to proper services. Isak Fritz, member of the provincial legislature said that the ANC will lose in the next election “the ANC will remove themselves and they can see at this point where they are currently standing”, he said. Adding, “from our part, we will campaign in our local municipalities and demonstrate to our community members how to govern and provide them with suitable services”. Bertie Saal, spokesperson of ANC in the Namakwa region did not take kind of the DA shady and slam statements to their party. "Daai is julle probleem, doen niks van julle eie praat altyd van die ANC". He said the DA fails to show what they can offer and take low blow by attacking the ANC and rattling the locals by using racial strategy which causes division. Some political analyst describe 2024 general elections as fair game for anyone as each political party has its own sabotage statements but it is all up to the people who they trust. The youth seems not to care about elections, stating that politics are toying with people service desires where politicians are busy fatting their pockets and careless of those who placed them at the positions they at. The 2024 general election war has been declared as knives have been sharpened - only the strongest will survive. The power is in the people’s hands.
