The African National Congress (ANC) in the Northern Cape has wrapped up its two-day Provincial Executive Committee Lekgotla yesterday, highlighting to reforms in local government, economic growth, crime reduction, corruption, and gender-based violence.

The party still stands to prioritise restoring financial stability, improving governance, and ensuring reliable delivery of water, electricity, sanitation, and infrastructure to communities.

However, oppostional parties argue that past commitments have often failed to translate into tangible results, raising questions about whether the promises this year will be any different.

Meanwhile, the provincial chairperson Dr. Zamani Saul praised the efforts of comrades during the sessions but stressed the need for action, not just rhetoric.

Community members say the true test will be in whether these resolutions lead to measurable improvements for residents across the province.
