The People’s Movement for Change (PMC) has announced its councillor candidates and mayoral candidate for the Kamiesberg Municipality ahead of the 2026 Local Government Elections.

Jakob Willems has been announced as the PMC’s mayoral candidate for Kamiesberg Municipality.

The announcement took place on Saturday, 26 September 2026, with national party leadership deployed to support the programme and engage with local structures.

Deputy Secretary General Claudine Colridge, National Head of Social Media KJ Arendse, and party leader Mark Alexander were among the PMC representatives present.

The party said its campaign is centred on the themes of family, community and opportunity.

The 2026 Local Government Elections are scheduled to take place on 4 November, with political parties preparing candidates and structures ahead of the polls.
