As we return from the heart of the 2025 festival season, celebrations, travel, and social gatherings have increased across the country. However, alongside the festivities, concerns have been raised about alcohol consumption, reckless spending, road safety, and the link between alcohol abuse and gender-based violence.
This afternoon, we take a closer look at these issues and ask critical questions about the social and economic impact of alcohol use during peak festive periods.
