The South African Police Service Organized Crime Unit in the Namakwa district are investigating a case of Counterfeiting under the Counterfeit Goods Act.
According to Sgt. Timothy Sam, the Northern Cape police spokesperson said this follows the discovery of more than R24 000 fake notes at a house in Okiep on Thursday, 02 January 2025. “Four suspects aged between 28 and 45 years old were arrested”.
The suspects are expected to appear in the Springbok Magistrate Court soon.
