The Hantam Local Municipality patted itself after learning from the Eskom that their electricity account was in order. The municipality took to social media on Thursday to brag about the honor letter they were given two months ago.

According to the letter, the municipality places a high value on fiscal responsibility and contract compliance. “Service delivery is a top priority for the communities they serve after fulfilling their commitment”. The letter also said that other municipalities could strive to attain the standard that the municipality sets for responsible financial practices.
