The South African Police Service (SAPS) in Nababeep probe a culpable homicide case. This follows a tragic accident that happened on the Okiep/Nababeep road on Saturday, 12 October 2024.
Sergeant Timothy Sam confirmed that two victims had died.
“Preliminary investigations indicate that the driver of a Toyota Avanza vehicle that was ferrying four High School learners from a rugby match in Nababeep, lost control of the vehicle causing the death of one occupant on the scene and the driver later succumbing to his injuries in the Springbok hospital,” said Sam.
Meanwhile, the other three passengers are still in critical but stable condition in Springbok hospital.
The police are investigating the circumstances that led to this tragic loss of lives.
